Yellowstone, through its sister company has been involved in the logging and forest industry for 25+ years, contracting to one of Vancouver Islands largest logging licensees. During this time there have been many improvements implemented to further minimize the impact of logging on our environment.

With this in mind we started to grind post-harvest logging residue on-site rather than piling to burn as was the practice in the past. This method has proven very successful and greatly reduced the need to burn, in turn significantly improving overall carbon footprint and minimizing the harmful emissions of large-scale slash burning.
